Five years after the United Nations Climate Conference, the Marrakech COP in Morocco, Africa will once again host the world climate meeting in 2022. The 27th COP will be held in the seaside city of Sharm el-Sheikh inshore of the Red Sea, Egypt. Egypt itself is affected by climate change. The country proposes as host city for the next COP, Sharm el-Sheikh, a seaside town nestled in the east of the country, between the desert of the Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea.
