On the 20th of February 2023, The African Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access was hosted at the German Embassy in Cameroon. The senior staff comprised of Dr. Augustine B NJAMNSHI (Executive Director), Eugene N Nforngwa (Director of programs) and Afanyu Yembe N ( Head of Communications and Advocacy) were received by Dr. Valentin Katzer Head of cooperation at the embassy. The IKI project ENSURING A PEOPLE-CENTRED ENERGY TRANSITION IN AFRICA THROUGH CIVIL SOCIETY ENGAGEMENT was presented and a number of things were discussed including the need for a frank and open dialogue on the role of gas in Africa’s energy transition plan.
